Saw this on Neils gallery of Fav. & though what I see & what your were probably trying to depict are not the same (judging from the title). I see fields, rich agricultural land, wheat ready to be harvested. I've been wanting for several years to do a work on agricultural fields & this fills me with possibilities of how to get started.I Love this painting, even though my interpretation is totally wrong. though who knows Bavaria is probably a rich fertile land & probably was long before the trials made it an infamous place.

Well all of the credit goes to Anselm Kiefer. This is his painting and painted indeed landscapes but in a way it is almost abstract.

I understood this was a masterpiece after reading the clubs journal... It is a lovely landscape abstract. It is the 1st time i have seen these two art forms combined together & with such overwhelming power. Thank you for opening my eyes to the possibility of doing both at once.

If you get the chance to see any of Anselm Kiefer's work for real, DO IT. Seriously, I cannot prepare you for what you get to see. The way he uses paint is amazing. The layers, the textures, the colours. Soooo gooooood!
